1. Who We Are

  • Shop/dealer accounts may be created by caro.cy on behalf of a business at that business's request; the business is responsible for the account from the point it is activated.

4. The Marketplace Role — What caro.cy Is, and Is Not

caro.cy is a venue that connects vehicle sellers and buyers. caro.cy is not a party to any transaction between a buyer and seller, is not a dealer, does not take ownership of any vehicle, and does not inspect, verify, or guarantee the condition, history, legality, title, or accuracy of any vehicle or listing.

Buyers and sellers are solely responsible for:

  • Verifying the accuracy of any listing before relying on it;
  • Conducting their own due diligence (including independent vehicle history/VIN checks) before buying or selling;
  • Negotiating, agreeing, and completing the transaction directly with each other;
  • Complying with all applicable laws relating to the sale, purchase, registration, and taxation of vehicles in Cyprus.

caro.cy does not guarantee that any listed vehicle will sell, that any buyer is genuine, or that any transaction will complete successfully.

5. Listings

  • You must have the legal right to sell any vehicle you list, and all information in your listing must be accurate and not misleading.
  • Prohibited listings include (without limitation): stolen vehicles, vehicles you do not have the right to sell, fraudulent or duplicate listings, and listings containing unlawful, discriminatory, or offensive content.
  • You retain ownership of the content (photos, descriptions, etc.) you submit, but grant caro.cy a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and promote that content for the purpose of operating the Platform.
  • We may remove, deactivate, or refuse to publish any listing at our discretion, including listings that violate these Terms or that are reported by other users.

6. Fees

Standard listing on caro.cy is currently free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce fees for specific features (including, without limitation, promoted listings, credits, or dealer subscription plans) at any time, with reasonable notice before such fees apply to your continued use of the relevant feature.

7. Dealer / Shop Accounts and Paid Features

Shop accounts may access additional tools, including bulk listing upload and Insights (analytics, market/regulatory information, and related features), some of which may be offered on a paid subscription basis. 8. Informational Content and AI-Assisted Features

9. Messaging

The Platform provides in-app messaging to help buyers and sellers communicate without requiring an upfront phone number exchange. You are responsible for what you choose to share with other users, including your own phone number or vehicle identification details, and you do so at your own discretion and risk. caro.cy does not actively monitor private messages but reserves the right to review message content in response to a report, dispute, or legal obligation.

10. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to: violate any applicable law; post false, misleading, or fraudulent content; harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users; attempt to circumvent platform security or access controls; scrape or bulk-extract data from the Platform without permission; or use the Platform for any purpose other than genuine vehicle buying/selling activity.

11. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or unlawful activity, or posed a risk to other users or the Platform.
